Product
A 24/7 analyst for the cameras you already own.
Crokta is three things working together: an edge appliance that watches your streams, a cloud that keeps the record and runs the rules, and the console and mobile app your team actually uses.
Onboarding
Plug in beside the NVR. Your cameras appear.
The appliance discovers cameras over ONVIF, enumerates NVR channels, and lets the installer add RTSP streams by hand with a live preview. It pulls the analytics sub-stream and leaves your recording untouched.
- H.264, H.265 and MJPEG, hardware-decoded
- Every camera graded green, amber or red for each detector at its resolution, angle and light
- Stream health with automatic backoff and reconnect; offline, defocus and reposition alerts
- CSV import for large fleets; encrypted camera credentials never returned in plaintext
Zones and rules
Rules that read like a sentence.
Draw polygon zones and directional lines on a live snapshot. Then write the rule: WHEN a detector fires IN a zone DURING a schedule THEN do something. The same rule runs on the appliance and in the cloud against one specification, so what you tested is what fires at 3 a.m.
rule · after-hours-intrusion · v3
WHEN person confidence ≥ 0.80, dwell ≥ 2 s
IN yard-perimeter (CAM-07, CAM-08)
DURING after-hours Mon–Sun 19:00–06:00 Africa/Lagos
UNLESS gate-opened-by-badge within 60 s
THEN alert Critical → WhatsApp security-group, push, siren relay 1
COOLDOWN 5 min per track · storm control 10/min per camera
Vertical templates
Warehouse, estate, retail, bank and school templates get a site to 80% in minutes. Tune the last 20% on real footage.
Simulate before you arm
Replay yesterday against a new rule and see what would have fired before anyone is woken up.
Pipeline
What happens in the four seconds after someone steps over the line.

Plug in beside your NVR
The Crokta Edge appliance joins your camera VLAN and discovers cameras over ONVIF, or you add RTSP streams by hand. Your NVR keeps recording. Nothing is replaced.

Draw zones, pick a template
Polygon zones and lines on a live snapshot. Rules read like a sentence: WHEN person IN yard-perimeter DURING after-hours THEN alert Critical. Vertical templates get you 80% of the way.
16 cameras live in under 2 hours

Detect at the edge
Computer vision runs on the appliance, not in the cloud. Detection continues when the uplink drops. Every confirmed event is written to a crash-safe log before anything else happens.
≤ 300 ms frame-to-detection target
- 04
Alert with evidence, then learn
WhatsApp, push, SMS, siren or webhook. Every alert carries a thumbnail, a clip, the camera, the zone, the rule and the confidence. One tap to mark it false, and the system tightens.
≤ 8 s event-to-WhatsApp target
- frame to detection, p95
- ≤ 300 ms
- event to siren or relay, p95
- ≤ 1 s
- event persisted in the cloud on a healthy uplink
- ≤ 3 s
- event to WhatsApp or push delivered
- ≤ 8 s
Design targets, p95. Measured per site.
Detection catalogue
Fewer detectors, each one trustworthy.
Every detector is a versioned, licensable unit with its own precision target on a site-specific test set of at least 200 positives and 500 negatives. If it cannot hit the target, it does not ship. Advisory detectors are worded as such and never trigger automated consequences.
Perimeter and security
The detectors every site needs on day one. Conservative thresholds, tuned per camera.
- Available at launch
Person and vehicle
Classes, tracks and dwell time for every camera.
- Available at launch
Intrusion and line-cross
Polygon zones and directional lines, per schedule.
- Available at launch
Loitering
Dwell beyond a threshold in a zone you draw.
- Available at launch
Camera tamper
Covered, defocused, repositioned or blinded.
- Pro
Weapon
Visible firearm or blade, flagged Critical.
- Roadmap
Number plates (ANPR)
Plate read at gates, matched to allow and deny lists.
Safety and compliance
For plants, depots and warehouses that need a number for the auditor every Monday.
- Pro
PPE compliance
Helmet, vest and boots by zone and shift.
- Pro
Man-down
A person on the ground who does not get up.
- Pro
Fire and smoke
Early visual detection, independent of smoke detectors.
- Pro
People and vehicle counting
Occupancy, throughput and queue length.
- Roadmap
Forklift proximity
People inside a vehicle's danger envelope.
- Roadmap
Abandoned object
A bag or box left in a zone longer than allowed.
Advisory behaviour
Worded as "for review", never as an accusation. Advisory detectors never trigger automated consequences.
- RoadmapAdvisory
Possible aggression
Flags a scene for a human to review.
- RoadmapAdvisory
Possible concealment
Retail shrinkage cues, for review.
- RoadmapAdvisory
Crowd formation
Density above a threshold you set.
- RoadmapAdvisory
Fly-tipping
Dumping in a monitored zone.
Incidents, search and evidence
From alert to a courtroom-ready pack without leaving the console.
Group related events into an incident, add notes and attachments, and export a pack with every clip hashed with SHA-256 and an audit trail of who saw what. Search history by camera, class, colour, time and zone, and read why each result matched.
Console
A live grid of 1, 4, 9 or 16 tiles with detection overlays, a filterable event feed, per-camera timelines, and incident management. Fully usable at 1366×768, because that is what the control room has.
Mobile
Push notification with the thumbnail on the lock screen. Two taps to the clip. Acknowledge, assign or mark false from the alert itself. Low-data mode by default on 4G.
Integrations
Signed webhooks with retries, a REST API with org-scoped keys, and connectors for WhatsApp, Slack, Teams, email and SMS. Access-control and alarm receiving centre integrations on the roadmap.
Reports
Weekly PDF for the auditor: compliance rate by zone and shift, week-on-week change, and the lowest-compliance clips with faces blurred by default. CSV and API export of everything.
Pilot programme
Make the cameras you already own earn their keep.
Start with a 14-day paid pilot on one site. We tune it with your operators, publish the false-alert rate honestly, and you decide from day fifteen.
